Ecosystem Restoration Community of Practice

2024 CoP Workshop in Prince George

This knowledge hub aims to address knowledge gaps, support practitioners and encourage engagement within the restoration community. If you're here, you're already a member of our community of practice (CoP). Welcome!

Who is a Restoration Practitioner?
Anyone interested in the delivery of a restoration project, including professionals, academics, authorities, First Nations, stakeholders, funders, partners, governmental and non-governmental groups, and individuals interested in restoration.

We look forward to an exciting year ahead as we continue to grow and support developing this restoration community.

Our web hub is a work-in-progress! You can login to access members-only content, or peruse the pages on resources, funding, CoP news, and our webinar series.

We invite you to join us on Slack as we continue informal discussions and connections in that workspace.

Connect with Mae through email:

As with any of our CoP initiatives, we ask that you come to these spaces prepared to

  • recall our shared values,
  • trust (and bring) good intentions,
  • get curious and ask questions,
  • respect differences, and
  • share what you can.

Our shared values, as defined collectively in November 2025, are:

  • balance,
  • courage (to innovate),
  • diversity of ideas,
  • trust,
  • collaboration,
  • connection,
  • knowledge exchange,
  • community values and two-eyed seeing (Etuaptmumk), and
  • communication.

If your organization would like to be on the CoP organizing team, please get in touch with one of us through our organizations, or reach out to Mae directly.
