The Northern Restoration Community of Practice workshop is coming to Terrace this October 20-23, bringing together practitioners from across the region and beyond. With world-class trainers, experienced restoration practitioners, and a program shaped by the interests and needs of the restoration community, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn something new and bring fresh ideas back to your own work.

This workshop is designed to be practitioner-directed. Rather than simply listening to presentations, participants will have opportunities to identify the topics and questions they want to explore, take part in small-group discussions and coaching, and share their own experiences and lessons learned.
Bringing together people working across different disciplines, organizations, and communities creates opportunities to find collaborators, exchange knowledge, ask questions, and connect with people who understand the realities of restoration work in Northern B.C. These relationships can become valuable sources of advice, support, and new opportunities long after the workshop ends.
And while the focus is on restoration, the benefits extend beyond individual projects. Stronger restoration networks help build local skills, employment opportunities, partnerships, and community capacity while supporting healthier and more resilient ecosystems.
The workshop is also an opportunity to reconnect with why restoration matters. The work we do is ultimately about the places we live, the ecosystems and species we care about, and the social, cultural, and emotional connections people have with the land.
Come to Terrace ready to share what you know, learn from others, and leave with new ideas, new connections, and renewed energy for the restoration work ahead.
We look forward to seeing you there!
