Community of Practice Connections
Jan 12, 2026

In the 2024 and 2025 workshops, we completed 25/10 crowdsourcing exercises to assess practitioners' top priorities for our collaborative community of practice (CoP).

Two of the requests were 1) a practitioner database, and 2) a forum for group chats and informal connection. We've got that and then some.

Practitioner database

We'd love to have you join our practitioner database! This will help us break down the silos, give new practitioners a network of connections, and increase access, capacity, and connectivity.

  • Steps to adding your information:
    1. Create a login
    2. Create a contact card ("add/edit profile" link after you log in)
    3. QAQC

All entries are behind a member login and regularly monitored by your CoP Coordinator. Personal information collected on this form is governed by SERNbc's privacy policy.

Right now, we are in beta testing. Please let your Coordinator know if you find bugs!

Slack workspace

We have a space for people to connect and converse less formally, but also to workshop ideas. It's a free workspace, so messages are deleted after 90 days.

You can view Slack's privacy policy here.

Watercooler Wednesdays

As a bonus, you also wanted to keep momentum going with regular, informal meetings. Let's chat about projects Wednesday afternoons!

Series runs January 14 - May 27 at 2:30 p.m. MST

Add to my calendar

As with any of our CoP initiatives, we ask that you come to these spaces prepared to

  • recall our shared values,
  • trust (and bring) good intentions,
  • get curious and ask questions,
  • respect differences, and
  • share what you can.

If your organization would like to be on the CoP organizing team, please get in touch with one of us through our organizations, or reach out to Mae directly.
